3d Printing FAQ

3d Printing Services FAQ

If a printer is unavailable during the checkout process, it’s either printing a large order and unavailable, or down for maintenance and unavailable. You can use the form below to contact us and get an estimate on when the printer will be available!

We have many different choices of materials!

For flexible, strong parts, use TPU. This is great for robot armor.

For stiff, strong parts, use any of the Nylon family.

For highly detailed parts, use Onyx on the Markforge Printer.

For cheap, cost efficient parts, use PLA.

For strong, plastic antweight parts, use ABS.

Use any of our color tempature changing filaments for fun prints!

We offer a few choices for printers!

The Bambu Carbon X1 – The fastest printer, and overall best value to print on, as you’ll get strong parts, but quickly.

The Markforge – The strongest parts you can get, but prints much slower than the Bambu.

The Flashforge Guider 2s – The slowest, but cheapest of our printers. Use this for the best value prints!

Depending on what you want your parts to do, you may need more infill.

Our parts come standard with 2 walls and 2 layers of top and bottom (for custom walls and top and bottom layers, leave a note in your order, and we will add as many as you like for no additional cost to your order!) so we recommend adding more infill to make stronger parts. For structural parts, we recommend 85-100% infill. For cheaper parts, use the standard 25% infill.

There is a $5 setup fee on each part which allows us to verify your part is ready for 3d printing.

910 Nylon is a heavy warp Nylon. We do our best to mitigate it as much as possible, but especially if you have large long parts, they will have a noticeable warp. Please plan your tolerances accordingly.
